In previous versions of the
program, information on speakers was set and phase differences
were not taken into account. In EASE 4.0 Custom Speaker DLLs
(Dynamic Link Libraries) allows designers to use proprietary
information without divulging the techniques through a series
of commands that are hidden via a black box with an input
and output function.
Users can now simulate proprietary line arrays without the
manufacturer having to release proprietary control information
to the public, allowing them to change the parameters of those
speakers for aim, distance and frequency, just like in real
life.
The information afforded by the Custom Speaker DLLs is also
incorporated into the balloon calculations so that the balloon
of the line array can be simulated. This new set of data makes
it possible to compute the Direct SPL (Sound Pressure Level)
field for any speaker model or speaker DLL.

EASERA provides both data
acquisition with a variety of stimulus signals including Time
Delay Spectrometry, a sweep, a MLS or a noise excitation signal,
and a post processing engine to calculate all acoustic functions
or measures according to ISO Standard 3382 and higher.
The real time analyzer provides multiple ways to perform a
fast on-site analysis or to obtain a precise view of the surrounding
acoustic environment. Although many of these tools are available
in one form or another in several products, EASERA is the
first to bring them all together in one unified measuring
package.
Now, thanks to EASERA, audio professionals can access the
best features of all these measurement techniques from a laptop
PC with a sound card.
